Its been a cold long winter we had plenty of snow as can been seen in our winter facebook album but hopefully sping is just about here!
Thanks to a very cold start to the year the plants have been slow to get going but they are now well on their way and there is plenty ready for your garden we have a lot of lettuce plants and other vegetables ready for the garden – just watch out for the early morning frosts!
The late daffodils are giving the gardens a splash of colour and with the sycamores just starting to open their leaves they gardens are starting to look more spring than winter like. With the rockery plants like heucheras and sedums the beds are also starting to fill out nicely. Also in the garden are erythronium dens-canis or ‘Dog tooth Violets’ with their beautiful spotted leaf and pink trumpet flowers its lovely to see when the weather in April was so drab.
Although we are already in May it will be a couple more weeks before the cucumbers and tomatoes will be really be ready to go outside, but if you have a heated area under glass then we already have plenty varieties of tomatoes ready for planting.
We are also open BOTH bank holidays in May.
If you have a specific plant that you would like us to source or ask if we have in stock please contact us.
