Saturday the 13th of September will be our last day of opening for the 2025 season!

The feature Walkway

Developed at the top of the nursery the walk runs in a north-south line towards our the nursery and GinGan building.

This area focuses on blue and yellow borders that were first planted in 2008 with trained limes flanking the walkway. The lime trees have now been removed due to them drying the ground so much.

The borders contain herbaceous plants such as aconitum delphiniums, nepetas geraniums in blues and lupins anthermis santolinas in yellows and is another stock area for the nursery.

The walkway leads up to a impressive wood clad building which some people call a Chapel, it isn't a chapel but it does have doors which were reclaimed from a church and some stain glass windows as features. This building contains a little bit of history about Stanton and the nursery with a few photos, a lovely place to have a sit down and look down over the nursery, note the roof shape, it was not an easy design to build!
